He was speaking after inaugurating the coaching classes for Civil Judge Junior Division Examinations at the JMFC Court premises in Mangalore on Wednesday.
While other government departments are well exposed to interference from outside forces, 99% of the time there is no such inference in legal profession, Mr. Nijagannavar said, urging the candidates appearing for the scheduled examinations to work hard and climb up the ladder to become sincere and unbiased judges.
Giving a few tips on answering the examination papers, Mr. Nijagannavar said that candidates must stress on producing quality answers rather than quantity. “Writing judgements is an art. What can be mentioned in ten pages of loaded details can also be said in a few lines. Comprehension of the case and presenting a judgement in a crisp and impressive manner backed by all relevant facts is very important”, he said.
Mr. Nijagannavar also released the 'Handbook on Judicial Officers (Civil Judge) Examination' authored by Advocate P C Raghavendra on the occasion as well.
