Addressing media persons at a news conference at the district BJP office in Mangalore on Thursday, Mr. Bhat said that a certain N R Rai from Alsoor in Bangalore had filed a case before the Karnataka Lokayukta against Mr. Lobo when he was the Commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation and the same was posted on March 15 earlier this year.
But Mr. Lobo has concealed the fact and sworn in a false affidavit and filed the same with his nomination papers, Mr. Bhat alleged.
By leaving out his pending Lokayukta case in the affidavit, Mr. Lobo has committed offences under Section 125 (a) of the Representation of People's Act and Section 193 of the Indian Penal Code, Mr. Bhat said.
Mr. Lobo will be dragged to the court over this matter and a complaint will be filed with the local JMFC court within a week, Mr. Bhat revealed.

The prelude: BJP and Congress candidates from Mangalore South Yogish Bhat and J R Lobo exchange wishes after filing nomination papers last Monday.
