Managing Director of the hospital Dr Syed Nizamuddin told media persons that the dialysis centre contained two dialysis machines, out of which one would be solely for providing dialysis on charity to patients from lower socio-economic strata.
“Our objective is to provide services to the needy patients recommended by doctors, local authorities and reputed social service organisations. These patients will be screened by the management and the service will be rendered for a nominal charge of Rs 550 merely for consumables,” he said.
The centre will operate with two set-ups, initially run only during the day and subsequently operate 24 hours per day.
He said that in the next few months, a part of the hospital's daily earnings would be earmarked to provide maximum amount of dialysis for deserving patients on charity. The hospital is also planning to set up a 'social cell' for this cause, where philanthropists and donors could donate financial aid as charity, said Dr Nizamuddin.
