Mangalore, Apr 19: Coming down heavily on BJP Candidate N Yogish Bhat for his reported false allegation against his Congress counterpart J R Lobo of filing false affidavit, Union Minister M Veerappa Moily said that Bhat is jobless.
Mr Bhat had alleged that Mr Lobo had committed offence by concealing about a pending Lokayukta case against him in the affidavit filed by him. However, standing by Mr Lobo, Moily said that Bhat has made baseless allegations and there are no pending cases against him.
“No one can question the credibility of Mr Lobo. He has worked amidst us for over 20 years and we all know him,” said Mr Moily terming Mr Bhat as an 'irresponsible MLA'.
Talking about the Lady Goschen development issue, Mr Moily said that he must be irresponsible to even trust a man like Janardhan Reddy to get funds for the hospital.
“The building was demolished and even after two years, not a single paisa was shelled out by Mr. Bhat or the state government to set things right. Finally I had to get the ONGC to come forward and they are contributing Rs. 21 crore for the cause”, Mr. Moily said.
