Showering praises on Mr Rai and Mr Khader and calling them as secular leaders, Mr Mohideen said that the duo's inclination to work for the people without disparity will bring them victory with huge margin. Since the voters have known Mr Rai and Mr Khader and their nature of work very well, no competition from other minority candidates will make any difference to the minority votes that the duo is going to bag.
“The voters are grossly disappointed by the BJP, which came to power promising people stable governance but ended up smothering the state in squalor,” he said and added that the episodes that unfurled over the last five years have shown that the BJP lacked vision.
MLAs' right
Stating that electing a chief minister is the right of the MLAs, Mr Mohideen said that declaring the name of the CM ahead of elections is nothing but a blatant violation of the rights of the MLAs. It so seems that the BJP, including former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda has no idea of the spirit of the democracy.
“The BJP has made a mockery by declaring the CM's name before the elections,” Mr Mohideen said.
