“However, Mr Shetty did not do anything to fortify the party. He has instead done all possible efforts to break it. Nobody in Bantwal now has even a speck of faith on Mr Shetty. Even the BJP saw the exit of Mr Shetty as a good riddance,” said Mr Poojary.
When asked about his reaction to JD(S) Block Committee President joining the BJP, Mr Poojary said that the exit has been looked at as a good move. “Such useless people should be out of the party and I believe such exits will only do good to the party,” he said.
JD(S) District Vice-President Mohommad Shafi said that Bantwal is going to witness a triangular war because the minorities are fed up of the Congress and the backward communities are raged against the BJP, thereby giving large room for the JD(S) to win the hearts of the people.
“While the Congress and the BJP are using muscle and money power during campaigns, the JD(S) is using people's power. Only the JD(S) has been judicious even while distributing tickets,” Mr Shafi said.
