
Addressing a news conference, Party Joint Convener S Nandagopal said that the proposed Niddodi Thermal Power project will have devastating impact on the farming community. Communal clashes and moral policing have hit the all time high. “The parties contesting in the region have to clarify their stand and explain their plan to curb these issues,” he said demanding the parties to categorically explain their stand on the drug mafia functioning in the district, allegedly due under the patronage of political parties.
With regard to the AAP, he said that the party will not be in fray for Karnataka Assembly polls, but it is preparing itself to enter the ring with Delhi Assembly polls. The party also intends to contest the parliamentary polls, in future, he said.
He further informed that the AAP will continue to question the elected members of eight constituency, from time to time, with regard to the pro-people work undertaken by them.
