Addressing mediapersons at a news conference here on Friday, he said that he was happy that the minorities in the district had voted rightly and come to a proper conclusion.
“If the JD(S) district leaders have any morality, they should review the reasons for their failure to gain votes or seats in the Assembly elections. Only then will they be able to make any mark in the 2014 General elections. The people of the district proved their intelligence by voting not on the basis of religion and caste. Now, a government has been elected which is stable,” he said, congratulating the voters of the twin districts for choosing their leaders well.
“I am glad that the people of the district have voted aptly, and my words have received their worth,” he added, referring to his prediction that the party would not win any seats in the Assembly elections in the twin districts.
Citing selfishness of the leaders as the reason for the failure of the party to gain any seats in the district, he maintained that he would not continue in the party with such leaders at its helm in the district.
Sadiq, Rahmatullah, Sattar and Imran were present.
