He was addressing the audience from the sets of 'Bale Thelipaale', a Tulu comedy competition at Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Yedapadav, Mijar, Mangalore, where he was participating as the esteemed VIP panelist during the quarterfinals.
In the true spirit of comedy, Mr Gowda, who is known for wearing a permanent smile, made light of himself in his opening remarks. “People always make fun of me for laughing too much. Today after coming to this comedy show, I have laughed even more” he said, making the audience burst into peals of laughter.
Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, Chief Co-ordinator of the temple and Dr. Shiva Sharan, Director of NammaTV were his co-panelists.
Total of eight teams participated in the quarter finals. In the finals, winners will be given prizes in two categories: (1) Till 14 Years (Male/Female): First - Rs. 50,000, Second – Rs. 25,000/- and Third – Rs. 15,000/-; (2) Above 14 Years (Male/Female): First - Rs. 1,00,000/- Second – Rs. 50,000/- and Third – Rs. 25,000/-.
Naveen Shetty introduced the show and Suvarna Shetty, Rupesh Shetty were the anchors.
