
Victim, who is a PUC student had been travelling in Sullia-Subramanya KSRTC bus and had developed acquaintance with Nagesh, conductor of the same bus. This had gradually developed into love for both of them. Nagesh, who had gained the trust of the girl, convinced her to come along with him to Bangalore.
After taking undue advantage of the girl, he sent her back to Subramanya in a bus from Bangalore on Sunday and he left to his native place Hassan.
Meanwhile, the girl's parents lodged a complaint with Subramanya police after seeing that their daughter who had gone to college did not return home.
However, when she returned home on Sunday, the girl revealed the fact to the parents adding that she has been cheated by the bus conductor who claimed to love her. The girl has been subjected to medical tests at Puttur hospital.
The police too taking the matter seriously started look out for the conductor and gathered data about him.
Under the guidance of Sullia Circle Inspector H V Sudarshan, the police team nabbed the culprit at Gorur near Chauduhalli in Hasan. He was brought to Mangalore on Tuesday and was produced before the Principal and Sessions judge.
