Bantwal, Sep 8: A 42-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Veerakambha village, Bantwal taluk on Saturday morning.
The deceased is Nagesh Poojary. He died after he allegedly slipped while fixing a block pipe in his farm.
Around 7 a.m. he told his family that the water pipe to his farm had been blocked and he was going to fix it.
However, when he did not return until lunch time, his father Keshava went to field to find his son dead by the side of the pipe.
Police believe he must have slipped while trying to fix the pipeline, and hit his head against it.
