Surathkal, Sep 17: Taking the issue of shortage of full-time doctors at Surathkal Primary Health Centre, DYFI staged a stir on Monday, at the PHC demanding for better facilities including appointment of full-time doctors, nurses and re-starting 108 ambulance service.

DYFI District President Muneer Katipalla addressing the protesters said that though the Health Minister visited the PHC the problems of the PHC continues to be the same.

He said that it is indirectly helping the private hospitals functioning in the region as poor patients too are going to those private hospitals without any other option at hand.
