Bantwal, Sep 21: A 32-year-old pregnant woman lost her life due to the alleged negligence of doctors at a private hospital in Bantwal.
The deceased has been identified as Shakunthala, a resident of Kokala in Bantwal and also vice president of Sarapady gram panchayat in Bantwal taluk.
She was admitted to Saraswati Hospital on Thursday.
However, on Friday, the doctors said she had developed complications and needed to be shifted to Father Muller Hospital in Mangalore.
By the time the family transferred her in a 108 ambulance, Shakuntala was declared brought dead. Her husband Yashodar has filed a negligence complaint against Doctor Indira V. Baliga.
