Kasargod, Sep 30: The body of a woman hailing from Madikai village in Kasargod district, who allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a multi-storied building in Kuwait, was brought to her hometown on Sunday.

Sushma sustained grave injuries in her attempt and was rushed to the hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries and died the same day. Soon afterher death, her husband informed her father and other family members of her alleged suicide.
Her body was flown to Mangalore and later taken to her house in Madikai Ambarathara.
Sushma jumped to her death without leaving behind a suicide note. Due to the suspicions of Sushma's family over the mysteriousness of her death, the body has been handed over to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
Sushma had been residing in Kuwait from the past 10 years with her husband.
Expressing his suspicion over his daughter's sudden death, father Kunhi Krishnan has written to the Indian ambassador in Kuwait and Kasargod district police and other officials. Family members have urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation in this regard.
Ambarathara police have registered a case of unnatural death.
