
Mangalore, Oct 8: Members of district unit Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a protest demanding re-functioning of Primary Health Centre and upgrading it with better facilities at Kannur in the city.
Addressing the protestors, B K Imtiyaz, City president of DYFI said that the Indian constitution.
Having basic amenities such as healthcare, education, shelters are the constitutional rights. “But government which had to provide this has shut down primary health centre at Kannur village, which is helpful to many patient is condemned”, he said.
Later the district family welfare officer arrived at the spot assured to start the functioning of primary health centre at Kannur in a week time.
Santhosh Bajal, Mohemmed Sadik Kannur, Usman Borugudde, Muhammad Haris, Habeeb Kundala, Rafi, Riyaz, Naushad, Ataulla Manala, Isac Yusu fand other activists of DYFI were present during the protest.
