Mangalore, Oct 12: With a section of minority leaders expressing their pain over the continued attacks on Muslims and the subsequent inaction of police in nabbing the culprits, District in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai said that the process of weeding the saffron policemen from the district is on.

Mr Rai had not reacted to the attack on five cattle traders, at Kudupu. However, after three days of the attack, Mr Rai on Friday said that,

officials with saffron mindset had been appointed by the BJP led government and there are steps to cleanse the district of these men.

“Over the last few transfers large sections of such officials have been thrown out of the district. However, the top cops remain to be the same.

Many more transfers are in the pipeline to cleanse the system here,” he said.
