Bantwal, Oct 15: An accidental fire has burnt down a tailoring shop at Ananthadi on Sunday night. The shop belonged to Shashidhar of Babanakatte. The clothes which were kept in the shop have been lost completely in the mishap and the loss is estimated at Rs 50,000.
It is said that the mishap had occurred at 1 am and the families living nearby had called Mr Shashidhar and informed him about the same.
But, when Shashidhar reached the spot the shop had been reduced to ashes.
Suspicion
Many feel that it was a well planned plot and not an accidental fire.
The shop did not even have electricity connection. Hence many feel that someone had set the shop ablaze.
A plank has gone missing from the shop, which adds to this suspicion.
Shashidhar has been in this profession over the last 15 years and in this mishap his sewing machine too has been lost.
