
Mangalore, Oct 29: Govanithashraya Trust at Beejaguri of Pajeeru will start'Gopremi Vedike' at Sharada Vidyalaya, Kodialbail on November 1.
P Anantha Krishna Bhat of the Trust addressing a news conference on Monday said that Govanithashraya Trust at Beejaguri of Pajeeru, near'Mangalagangothri' is a place for abandoned cows. Govanithashraya has as many as 300 cows under its shelter and has now planned to start'Gopremi Vedike”. It will be launched formally on November 1 at 5.00pm,” he said.
The Trust has built a'goshale' 10 years ago in its 10 acres land at Beejaguri. Three'goshalas'named Kapila, Amruta and Ganga are functioning here and the maintenance of the goshalas take around Rs 4 lakh per month.
“Forum is formed to protect cow and showcase its importance to society. It will also take up movement and campaigning for the protection and preservation of cow,” he said adding that the Vedike will be inaugurated by Vidyaprasanna Seer of Subramanya Matt, while MN Rajendra Kumar, president of SCDCC Bank will preside.
