Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, visa agent and owner of Al-Ikhlas Tours and Travels, Bunder K Abdul Khader told mediapersons that apart from lending monetary support and travel expenses to a woman named Ayisha, a resident of Manjeshwar in Kerala, he had not cheated her of any money, nor duped her by making false promises.
“The accusations of Visa fraud made on me by Ayisha are baseless. Since the woman approached me last year and requested to send her to the Middle East for work since she had financial problems at home, I offered to send her to Saudi Arabia with a free visa as I was aware of the requirement of a house-maid in the house of Abdullah Abdulaziz Abdullah Altuwazri, in Dammam. Out of goodwill, I also sponsored her medical check-up and visa stamping, along with travel expenses and air-fare to Dammam. Having flown to Dammam on July 21, 2012, she was employed as a house-maid for eight months and according to her employer, she was fully paid her monthly dues for that period,” he said, adding that he had been in touch with her employer during her stay and return from Dammam.
He said that as per his knowledge, Ayisha had been paid 800 SAR per month fo eight months.
“Once she returned from Saudi Arabia, she did not call or contact me. Neither did any persons from Tulu Rakshana Vedike approach me in person,” he said, informing that he would file a defamation case against Tulu Rakshana Vedike and Ayisha, along with valid documents.
