Mangalore, Nov 12: Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) district unit staged a stir in front of DC's office on Monday condemning the move of the state government of confining'Shaadi Bhaagya' scheme only to Muslim women.
The protesters demanded that the scheme must be made available to women of other communities as well.
KJP Leader Jagadish Hiremani said that KJP Mentor and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa had not made programmes like'Bhagya Lakshmi' and cycle distribution keeping any one community in mind, but Siddaramaiah is being partial by making schemes for one section of the society.
He said that opposing this attitude of the government B S Yeddyurapap has been protesting over the last 12 days and the CM did not even have the basic courtesy of visiting him and speaking to him.
KJP Leaders Ramachandra Baikampady among others were present.
