
Mangaluru, Feb 22: State Minister for Backward Classes Kota Srinivas Poojary who also holds the Religious and Endowment portfolio met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the Mangaluru International Airport and submitted a memorandum to him seeking sanction of five acres land for the construction of a Yatri Nivas for pilgrims from Karnataka who would visit the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in the future.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was in Mangaluru enroute Kasargod to take part in election campaigning.
Kota Srinivas Poojary's appeal was in line with an earlier appeal made by Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in this regard.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister assured the Karnataka Minister of considering the demand.
