Mangalore, May 5: Amidst the ongoing protest by the residents of Melukoppalu and Athrebail areas in the city against the Mangalore Special Economic Zone's move to reclaim Phalguni river bank to lay corridor road, the MSEZ officials have filed a complaint with the Urwa Police against six activists including Vidya Dinakar of Citizen's Forum for Mangalore.

Activists, who have backed the residents' protest, termed the complaint as MSEZ's helpless retaliation to the demonstrations staged before its office on Wednesday.

In a complaint filed on Friday, MSEZ Deputy Manager Rajendra Holla said the Wednesday's demonstration caused obstruction in carrying out official duty.

Apart from Ms Dinker, Mr Holla has named P. Arun D'Souza, Godfrey D'Souza, Dinesh Shetty, P.R. Bhat, and Hemalata Bhat as accused.
