Doha, August 6: The Muslim all around the world are a single community and this sense of Unity is to be preserved, said Yousuf Jassim, Assistant Manager of the Sheikh Eid Social Center.

He was delivering inaugural address at the Iftar meet held by Qatar India Fraternity Forum in coordination EID Charity and the Fanar recently at the Tariq bin Ziyad Independent school, New Salata, Doha. More than 2000 people were present.

Mr Jassim appreciated the brotherhood of the Indian community and their social work.

The chief guest Ashraf Maulvi, Mavatupuzha speaking on ‘The Message of Badr’ said that the sacred month of Ramadan purifies a believer heart from revenge, hatred, distrust and jealousy.

“A purified heart instills self-confidence which makes every human more dignified; the freedom from hunger and fear is truly a grace from Allah, the Almighty. This self-confidence and the faith in the Almighty makes the Muslim community stronger”, he said.

The message of Badr is thus clear - when a large majority tried to inflict evil and wrong on a smaller yet steadfast minority, the righteous group only perseveres, he said.

Ramadan is that time to clean ourselves from the sins, he added.

Also present on the occasion were the Qatar Guest center Vice President, Sheikh Mohammed Sabir, QIFF President Zafar Ahmed, Abdul Azeez Subhan and Ahmed Kadameri.
