Tulu Koota Kuwait conducts free medical camp

Kuwait, September 25: Tulu Koota Kuwait conducted a free medical checkup & consultation camp on September 14 in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Abbasiya, in coordination with the Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait Medical Association, Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait and the Kuwait Heart Foundation.


H K Mohan, the First Secretary from the Indian Embassy, said that such medical camps were very helpful to people who could not afford proper medical checkup in Kuwait where medicines and consultations were expensive compared to those in India.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ameer Ahmed, President of the Indian Doctors Forum, lauded Tulu Koota Kuwait for its organisation and efficiency.


Dr John Manapalli, President of the Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait, and Ramachandra, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, also spoke on the occasion.


Ramesh Kidiyoor, President of the Tulu Koota Kuwait, welcomed the dignitaries on the occasion. He asserted the fact the “Health is Wealth” and that no compromise can be made on health matters.


Jayalaxmi Karkal, TKK Joint Secretary, proposed a vote of thanks. Suresh Shyam Rao, Sudhakar Shetty and Sathish Chandra Shetty were present.


A total of 38 doctors, 9 dentists, 18 nurses and 4 lab technicians assisted the patients and around 825 consultations were made. ECG & Ultrasound was conducted for the very first time at the camp. It was conducted for the benefit of people who did not have the opportunity or facility to undergo regular medical checkups at regular clinics.
