Abu Dhabi: Emirates India Fraternity Form celebrates 41st UAE National Day

Abu Dhabi, December 4: To commemorate 41st UAE National Day, Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF), a UAE based social welfare association in co-ordination with Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Blood Bank, Abu Dhabi organized a Blood Donation Drive.


The drive is part of its continuous efforts to educate the expatriates about the rules, values and regulation of UAE, be it related to community, social, health or environment.


The campaign began at 6.30 pm and closed at 11.30 pm. A stream of donors lined up to donate blood until the end.


A symposium highlighting the importance of donating blood was addressed by Dr. Ahmed Imam from Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, who gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation, urged the participants to spread greater awareness about the importance of blood donation.


Yousef Jassim M Al Ali, Head of Environment Health and Safety Section of Zayed Higher Organization Humanitarian Care & Special Needs, stressed the importance of charity in Islam and stated that blood donation is one of the best example of charity.  Mr. Mohammed Akram, Managing Director Al Sitara Cont. and Gen. Maintenance appreciated the effort of EIFF for organizing this camp and gathering youths to be a part of this noble cause.


Mr. Nasir Shaikh, The president of Emirates India Fraternity Forum welcomed the gathering and briefed the participates about the work of EIFF in Past & their Future plans. He also expressed his gratitude, thanks and heartfelt appreciation for UAE Government, for giving all of us a safe and Healthy Environment to live. He also wished the rulers, nationals & all the people of UAE a happy National day. The event co-ordinator Mr. Abdul Rasheed Bejai compared the event while Mr. Pervez proposed vote of thanks.


The ongoing initiative is to generate awareness amongst Community and to help prevent blood shortage in the country.

The event was coordinated by the staff of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Blood Bank.
