India Fraternity Forum holds sports meet in Dammam

Dammam, December 9: India Fraternity Forum, Karnataka chapter, organised a sports meet for its members recently in Dammam.

 

Four teams representing different regions participated in this event which was witnessed by huge number of sports lovers from different regions of Eastern Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The sports meet began at 7 a.m. with an inaugural speech by IFF Dammam President Mohammed Ashraf Puttur.

 

The particpating teams were Dammam, Khobar, Al-Hasa and Jubail. Each team was assigned a colour code for identification. The sports meet featured many sports activities and games including running race, gunny bag race, shot put, pot breaking, kabaddi, Foot ball and the all time favorite tug of war. Team Dammam emerged as Champions.

 

The event was coordinated by Muhammed Iqbal Idya Dammam. The chief guest Choudhary Assam  from YAMAMA Company congratulated participants and organisers. Another chief guest Abdussamad Pandeshwar  also spoke on the occasion.

 

The programme was compered by A.M. Arif Jokatte. Fraternity volunteers contributed to the success of the event.

Ajman: Ashok Bai Baria (44), a resident of Valsad - Ahmedabad, succumbed to a heart attack in Ajman. 

The incident occurred on March 13 morning at his residence, following which he experienced severe physical distress leading to the fatal cardiac arrest. 

Fishing has been a longstanding activity in Ajman- UAE, with Baria being actively involved in the profession for many years. 

Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, has informed that all necessary arrangements are underway to repatriate the deceased's body to his hometown.
