Riyadh, Jun 3: An Islamic dawah programme was organised by the Riyadh unit of Karnataka Salafi Association, in association with Bath’ha Dawah Centre recently in Riyadh.

Delivering a public discourse on the topic ‘Life after Death’ at the programme, Basheer Swalahi said that it was not possible to succeed in the Hereafter, by being Muslims merely for namesake. A firm and authentic belief in Islam is the base for the success of worldly life and the Hereafter. Judge yourself before being judged on the day of judgment. It is the responsibility of every Muslim to be a Muslim by choice, rather than by chance, before it is too late, he said.

Shaikh Imran Umari delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Azamath-e-Sahaba’ in Urdu and explained the significance of having love towards the companions of the Prophet.

Explaining the Hadith, he said that love for the companions was part of the Iman. He also pointed out that the companions did not give much thought to the pleasures of the worldly life but worked hard for the betterment of life in the Hereafter.

“However, we Muslims are more fascinated now towards the worldly life and live as if it is permanent. The wrong concept about Tauheed, made us fail to understand the Manhaj of Salaf and live in its standards,” he stressed.

A leaflet on Islam was released during the event. It was for the first time in Saudi Arabia that a leaflet in Kannada was released by the government-recognized Dawa Centre in co-ordination with KSA Riyadh, for the better understanding of Islam by Muslims as well as non-Muslims.

Awards and certificates were distributed to the top-scorers and participants of ‘Learn the Quran’ competition which was conducted in April.

The programme commenced with the recitation of Quranic verses by Hafiz Imran, followed by the translation of the same by Imran Poonjalkatte. Talks were arranged in Urdu and Malayalam languages, especially for the people from coastal Karnataka.

Kabeer Kajoor conducted the award ceremony. Azzam Kalai compered the programme and Hamza Ullal proposed the vote of thanks.
