In a memorandum forwarded to the authorities concerned through Mangalore North MLA Mohidin Bava, the Forum demanded them to ease the eligibility for government seats for the children of Karnataka based NRIs in such colleges. The memorandum also explained the current difficulties faced by the NRIs for their wards.
Receiving the appeal, Mr Bava said that he would not only deliver it to the chief minister but also would fight for this cause.
He laid emphasis on the problems faced by community and society back home in India, he exhorted the community members to give utmost priority for education.
Reception
The memorandum was forwarded to the Mr Moideen at a reception hosted by BWF-Abu Dhabi during his private visit to United Arab Emirates. The programme was held at Food Land Restaurants Hall, Abu Dhabi on Friday, April-27.
Ashraf of Expertise Industries was chief Guest on the reception programme. Ifam Talapady was present.
BWF president Mohamed Ali Uchil welcomed the gathering and delivered introductory remarks. He highlighted the contributions and commitments of Mr Moideen towards the downtrodden section of the society.
Members of the organisation participated in an informative interaction with M.L.A.
BWF general secretary Abdulla Madumoole compered the programme. Coordinator Mohamed Rafeeq Krishnapur proposed vote of thanks.
