Kasaragod, Apr 16: A tense atmosphere prevailed in parts of Kerala after a bomb attack on Thursday morning claimed a life at Panoor, a town which is known for violent clashes between CPM and Sangh Parivar.
The victim of fresh bomb attack has been identified as Vinod (37), a CPM activist.
It is learnt that suspected RSS miscreants hurled bomb at Vinod in the wee hours of Thursday when he was returning home.
The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Thalassery General Hospital.
CPM has held Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) responsible for bomb attack. It is learnt that Vindo had faced murder threat from RSS activists several times in the past.
Denouncing the terrorists attack by suspected RSS miscreants, the CPM has called for a bandh in Panoor surrounding areas on Thursday. More details are awaited.
