
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was completing 100 days in power at the Centre.
The Narendra Modi government was following the same policies pursued by the previous Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, he said at a martyrs' day function at Paivalige, near Uppala, on Monday.
The BJP government was not deviating from the neo-liberal policies of the UPA regime, he said.
This was detrimental to the interests of the traditional and public sectors which formed the backbone of the country's economy, he said.
CPI(M) area committee member A. Abubacker presided over the meeting. CPI(M) district secretary K.P. Satheesh Chandran and party local leaders were present.
