Mangalore, Sep 13: The Mangalore South police has solved a major house burglary case after arresting four suspected thieves including three Keralites.
They had allegedly involvement in a theft of valuable articles worth Rs. 9.2 lakh from the house of Mohammed Sharafuddin in Sturrock Road, Mangalore, in February this year, police sources said.
The arrested have been identified as as Rashid K.P from Kannur, Adhil Khan and Sajid Hassan, both from Kozhikode, and Sharavan S. from Chennai.
The police said the first three accused were suspected of involvement in the theft of articles from Sharafuddin's house.
The police took custody of the three persons lodged in Kozhikode jail and questioned them.
The three reportedly admitted to the theft and said they had sold the car stolen from Sharafuddin's house to a trader in Chennai.
The accused were taken to Chennai where they arrested Sharvanan, who purchased the car, the police said.
