Udupi, Sep 5: Deputy Commissioner T Venkatesh has directed all private medical establishments such as hospitals and clinics in Udupi district to prominently display the rate list for various types of for the health services or treatment being provided by them.

If any patient suffering from dengue, malaria, tuberculosis (TB) and other communicable diseases got admitted to the private hospitals or clinics, they should immediately take the address and mobile numbers and inform the Health Department immediately.
The private establishments should follow the treatment regimen prescribed by the government on treatment of tuberculosis cases, he said.
Rohini, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, said as many as 17 medical organisations were registered in the district till August.
The Department had renewed the registration of 149 medical establishments. Two had closed down, she said.
Mr. Venkatesh directed Dr. Rohini to send inspection teams to scanning centres in the district and ensure that they followed all the rules of Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994.
