
Announcing the results at a press conference in Bangalore on Monday, Kumar Nayak, Principal Secretary at Department of Education said that Udupi district, which had secured second place last year, has recorded highest pass percentage of 92.72. Dakshina Kananda district, which had secured first place last year, has bagged second place with a pass percentage of 91.76. Uttara Kannada with a pass percentage of 82.97 bagged third place. Yadgir district has been placed at the end of the ranking list.
Girls, as usual, have fared better when compared to boys, with 66.51 per cent of them passing out as against 52.7 per cent of the boys, he revealed.
Out of around 6,11,569 students, who had taken the Second PUC Examinations this year, 3, 63, 057 students have emerged successful. More details awaited.

For those colleges that have been designated as poll counting centres by the election authorities, the results of the students of such colleges will be displayed in nearby PU colleges.
