Mangalore, Jun 6: Imran Hassan, who has been duped by an acquaintance offering lucrative yet false job opportunity in Gulf, hails from a poor family in Mangalore. Qatar India Fraternity Forum (QIFF) has enlightened his life by sending him back to his native country.
Mr Hassan (26), son of Mohammad Hassan and a resident of Bengare Mangalore, was in need of a job due to familial responsibilities on his shoulder.
He met one Abdul Majeed, a resident of Uppala in Kasaragod, who promised him a good job in Qatar and brought him along on May 2, 2013 to the gulf nation. Mr Majeed gave him shelter in his room for a week and then shifted him to his friend 's room. Later on Mr Majeed was found missing along with Mr Hassan 's passport.
Panicked by the situation, he contacted Qatar India Fraternity Forum through his friend Saabith. Organization PRO Abdul Latheef Madikeri immediately responded by making a complaint to the authorities concerned in Qatari government departments and the Indian Embassy. People who are willing to work in the Gulf countries have to be wary of this kind of fraud, says Mr Latheef.
Investigating police officers were shocked to find that someone else had already exited Qatar with Mr Hassan 's passport.
After continuous struggle by Qatar India Fraternity Forum for several months Mr Hassan has safely reached his home town.
Expressing gratitude towards the Qatar India Fraternity Forum, Mr Hassan said that the organization's act of humanity has brought back lost hope for his future life.
