Rahul begins Mysuru tour with visit to Chamundeshwari Temple

Mysuru, Mar 24: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday kick-started the fourth leg of his Janaashirvaad Yatra in Mysuru region with a visit to Chamundeshwari Temple on the outskirts of Mysuru.

Rahul arrived at Mandakalli Airport by a special plane at 9.15 am. The Congress president, joined by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president G Parameshwara, headed straight to Chamundeshwari Temple, via Lalithamahal Road and Tavarekatte, in a car.

The security at the temple was beefed up in view of Rahul Gandhi's visit. The vehicular movement to the temple was restricted from 5 am.

The AICC president will interact with the students of Maharanis Arts, Science and Commerce colleges a while later.

Rahul will cover Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Mandya districts, where he will address Janaashirvaad rallies, corner meetings and hold roadshows on Saturday and Sunday.
