Mangaluru, 12: The downpour that lashed Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and other parts of Karnataka in the past few days, has receded in the weekend.

Begar in Sringeri taluk of Chikkamagalur district recorded maximum rainfall of 153mm in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on July 12.
Incessant rainfall that had lashed various parts of Shivamogga district a few days ago, receded on Saturday. Intermittent rains lashed Hosanagar, Thirthahalli, Sagar, some parts of Shivamogga and Bhadravathi.
Water level in Mani dam rose to 580.10 metre against the maximum level of 594.36 metre. The inflow was 4,004 cusecs of water.
The water level in Linganamakki dam rose to 1771.25 feet against the maximum level of 1,819 feet as the catchment area received rainfall of 38.60 mm.
The inflow was 1,580.5 cusecs of water and the outflow was 2,311 cusecs.
Madikeri, Bhagamandala, Napoklu, Srimangala and Shanthalli have experienced moderate rain.
The water-level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2,846.12 feet. The maximum limit in the reservoir is 2,859 feet. The inflow of water to the reservoir was 5,262 cusecs and the outflow was 771 cusecs.
Karnataka for period from July 6 to July 12 recorded 51% deficit rainfall. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 63mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 31mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on July 12, four geographical regions received 5mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 10mm, a 55% deficit departure from weighted-average normal.
