Reunion of Indian expats from KBN College of Engineering Gulbarga held in Jeddah

Jeddah, Feb 21: KBN College of Engineering Gulbarga, one of the famous Engineering Colleges in Karnataka with 9 faculties, launched its first Alumni association on Saturday in Jeddah at a local restaurant.

This first meeting was attended by 50 former students.

Program started with the recitation of holy Quran by Engr Syed Mohiuddin while in a welcome speech Engr Wajhath shah khan welcomed all the guests and appreciated the enthusiasm of all the ex students of KBN Engineering college Gulbarga.

Professor Neyamatullah from Taif university ex student of KBNCE highlighted aims and objectives of Alumni and stressed all the members to work with dedication for this social cause. He appealed to all the ex students of KBN residing in other parts of kingdom to join alumni by formation of their chapters and requested members to utilize this platform for upgrading and sharpening their skills.

Professor Ruksar Fatima Director and head of the department of Biomedical Engineering from KBNCE who had arrived kingdom for umrah attended as chief guest of the event.

In her speech she highlighted the current progress of college which was started with two faculties and now holding nine faculties with post graduation facility and till date more than 11,000 students have graduated from the college, we are first in Karnataka to have petrochemical branch in our college Ruksar added.

On request of Professor Ruksar about fifteen members with full enthusiasm registered their names for the executive committee and in couple of weeks they will form body of the Alumni.

The program was anchored by Engr. Syed Nasir Khursheed in which he highlighted that idea conceived by Dr. Syed Khusro Hussaini President of Khaja Education society to form alumni and appreciated the vision of Late Mohammed Hussaini sahib towards the community for the technical education.

Mohammed Imdad ali proposed vote of thanks, On behalf of Alumni he expressed deep sense of appreciation for Chief Guest Professor Ruksar and Dr. Syed Khusro Hussaini for encouragement to form alumni. He thanked speakers and all the attendees.

The program was concluded with gala dinner.
