Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) state spokesperson Dharmendra told media persons here on Monday that the organisation would lodge a complaint against renowned Karnad for making statements in support of Tipu Sultan.
“We will lodge a complaint against Girish Karnad at Barke police station in Mangaluru limits on Tuesday. Similar complaints will be lodged against the playwright in all districts in the state,” he said, criticising the writer for his remarks that Bengaluru International Airport should have been named after Tipu Sultan.
He said that the intellectuals who were returning their awards bestowed by the government were dishonouring the country by doing so. These intellectuals should return their honour too along with the awards, he criticised.
