Kasaragod, Feb 2: After Puttaparthi and Bengaluru, it is the turn of Kasaragod as Sri Satya Sai Orphanage Trust Kerala, in association with the State and Central governments, is all set to come up with a multi-specialty hospital complex, a project that envisages to provide state-of-the-art medical facility free-of-cost in the relatively backward region.

Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, while attending the ‘bhoomi puja’ of the ‘Sai Prasadam’ housing project for endosulfan victims in September last year here had assured to grant Rs.50 crore Central assistance for the project, trust founder and executive director K.N. Anand Kumar told The Hindu .
The hospital, equipped with sophisticated CT and MRI scan facilities, will provide free in-patient treatment to women and children, specialised out-patient cardiology, ophthalmology and dialysis facilities for the public by availing services of around 200 expert physicians drawn from the world over, he said.
The 200-bedded hospital complex, spread in 50,000 sq.ft, would have a Lord Ganesh temple and Shirdi Sai Baba mandir in the hospital compound, Mr. Kumar said.
