Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama chief Koyakutty Musliyar is no more

Malappuram, May 4: Renowned Islamic scholar and Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama president Anakkara C Koyakutty Musliyar passed away at his residence in Anakkara, here on Tuesday after a brief period of illness.

81-year-old scholar is survived by his wife, five sons and two daughters.

He was elected as the 9th president of SKJU after the death of former president Kalambadi Muhammad Musliyar in October 2012.

Musliyar was born in 1934 at Anakkara Chola. Son of Hasainar and Fathima, he was part of SKJU and SK Islamic Education Board for a prolonged period.

He was also associated with several religions institutions in Kerala and also served as Khazi of many mohallahs.
