Speaking to reporters, Ugrappa said that Shettar had let go of the land under the re-do' case and handed it over to the Karnataka Khadi Employees Co-operative House Building Society in 2013. His press conference came hours after Shettar levelled charges against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that he had denotified four acres of land in the proposed Shivaram Karanth Layout of the BDA in April this year.
“On March 20, 2013, Shettar signed on the dotted line to hand over the land to the Society. He had said in the order that the land was let go of in the light of the Supreme Court guidelines, and that the BDA?can proceed with the re-do plans for Arkavathi Layout without this land.
With this being the case, how can Shettar say that he does not know anything about the re-do orders regarding Arkavathi Layout?” Ugrappa said. He defended Siddaramaiah with regard to the shrinking of the land expanse in Arkavathi Layout and blamed the previous regimes of H D?Kumaraswamy and BJP chief ministers
