Newsroom, Oct 30: International sports couple Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik became proud parents to a baby boy on Tuesday as the former Pakistancricket captain broke the news on his Twitter account.
"Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik'," Malik tweeted.
Malik's manager and agent Ameem Haq, meanwhile, tweeted: "Baby and mother are all smiles, the dad is over the moon."
Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder, who is a close friend of Sania, congratulated the couple on her official Instagram account.
"My dearest n best friend becomes a mum!!@mirzasaniar I couldn’t b happier... lov uuuuu... n arriving soon to meet the lil prince," she wrote in her post.
On April 12, 2010, Sania and Malik got married in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, followed by Pakistani wedding customs.
