Shobha Karandlaje and P C Mohan, Members of Parliament from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru and Bengaluru Central constituencies respectively, have been appointed conveners of the BJP’s election committee in Karnataka.

The party held the first meeting of the committee, with 33 sub-committees that includes manifesto and charge-sheet committees.
B.S. Yeddyurappa, who addressed the committee reportedly pumped up the confidence of the party workers, saying that the aggressiveness of the Congress was only helping them and there was widespread antagonism against the Congress, which needs to be taken advantage of.
The BJP core committee, which also met on Saturday, decided to complain to Election Commission about the Congress allegedly misusing the office of government to hit at BJP in the districts.
“BJP programmes, hoardings and work on the ground have been hit by district administrations in several districts,” a leader said.
The core committee also accused Congress of trying to include fake voters in the list and decided launch to lodge a complaint.
