Mangaluru, Dec 27: As many as six Bajrang Dal activists have been arrested by the Mangaluru South (Pandeshwar) police for creating tension at various cinema halls in the city by forcefully preventing the screening of Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer Dilwale.

All the accused were arrested on Friday but released on bail at the police station itself as the offence was bailable, the police said.
Meanwhile, the police have extended security for the three multiplexes here in which Dilwale’s screening was scheduled and subsequently cancelled.
Karnataka State Reserve Police personnel have been deployed at PVR Cinemas, Cinepolis and Big Cinemas.
It is, however, learnt that the cinemas had decided not to screen the film anymore.
It could be recalled here that Vidya Dinker, a Mangaluru based social activist had complained to police after Bajrang Dal activists forcefully prevented the screening of movie at three multiplexes and other theatres in the city on December 20.
