Kartik Jindal, Ajay Nair move up in FISU World University Badminton

Chandigarh,Oct 20: Fourth seeded Indian Kartik Jindal took just 15 minutes to dispose of the challenge of Adrian Joseph Arguelles (Philippines) 21-3, 21-14 in men's singles second round of the 2018 FISU World University Badminton Championship (Individual) at Majlis Sukan University Malaysia.

Now, he will face Cho Geonyeop (Korea) who ousted Sithila Dananjaya Galbada Liyanage (Sri Lanka) 21-4 21-9.

Another Indian to move up was Ajay Satish Kumar Nair as he snuffed out the challenge of JC Clarito (Philippines) 22-20, 22-20 in 31 minutes.

His rival in the pre-quarter will be eighth seed Satheistharan Ramachandran of Malaysia.

Ramachandran who defeated Eng Chin An of Singapore 21-14 21-14.
