Kasargod, Sep 7: A local leader of Communist Party of India (CPI), who was brutally stabbed by two alleged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, is battling for life at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Left Democratic Front (LDF) activists took out a march at Badiadukka on Tuesday in protest against the attack.
Soon after he was stabbed by two miscreants on Monday night, he was rushed to a hospital in Kasargod and then shifted to Mangaluru for treatment as the injuries were serious and there were multiple injuries on the body.
Two suspected BJP activists waylaid him on Monday night and attacked him, the police said.
The Badiadukka police have launched a manhunt for the attackers, who, they suspect, might have fled to Karnataka.
The police had registered cases under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) against the BJP workers, they said.
Terming the attack an attempt to gain political mileage in the peaceful locality, the CPI urged the authorities to remain vigilant against those who try to vitiate political amity in the locality.

/arrest and punish these sangh parivar terrorists. I could not understand why govt is not declaring sangh parivar organisations (SRS/BD/RSS etc.) as terrorist organisations and ban them.
