
Mangalore, Oct 8: In a shocking accident, a degree student of a city based private college, was found dead in under a railway bridge at Kumble on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Shabeeb (19), a student of Shree Devi College of Interior Design, Mangalore.
A resident of Shifa land near Korakkodu Bilal Masjid, in Kasargod, he was commuting every day between Kasargod and Mangalore.
It is believed that either he fell down or was pushed down from a moving train while returning home on Tuesday evening after attending classes.
At Mangalore he had boarded Chennai Mail which passed through Kumbla at around 7:00 p.m. His friends realized that Ahmed was missing when the train reached Uppala.
After the train reached Kasargod police and fire brigade were informed that one of the passengers was missing. The search began on Tuesday night across the track near Kumbla, Shiiriya, Muttam and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, a local fishermen found a dead body in a bush under the railway bridge at Kumble and informed the police, who rushed to the spot and identified the body. The dead body bore several deep injuries.
Ahmed's father K A Mohammed Shareef and mother CH Balqees expressed suspicious that he might have pushed down from the moving train by some miscreants. œSomeone might have murdered him by pushed him down, they said and urged the police to carry out a fair probe.
