New Delhi, Oct 10: The final post-mortem report on Sunanda Pushkar's death has revealed that the wife of Congress leader and former Union minister Shashi Tharoor died due to œpoison in her body, ruling out an overdose of Alprax as the cause of death, police sources said.

The new findings are in sharp contrast to the preliminary report which had suggested an overdose of anti-depressant drug, Alprax.
But the final autopsy report, prepared by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of AIIMS and submitted to the police at Sarojini Nagar station on September 30, says she died of a poison.
The medical board has reserved comments on the specific poison that caused her
death. œThe report only mentions poison in the body. It states that there arealot of limitations in a viscera report, a police source said.
The report adds that Sunanda was not suffering from any ailments. œThe report states she was healthy and suffered from no ailment in her heart, kidney, liver or lung, the source said.
The post-mortem report shows haemorrhagic patches all over the stomach mucosa. This was apparently due to the poison, police sources said.
