Mangalore, May 24: A free career guidance and scholarship awareness programme was organized by the Talent Research Foundation, a philanthropic organisation, in association with Bangalore based Cigma India on Friday at town hall, Mangalore.
“After SSLC/PUC, What next?” a handbook with on courses, careers and scholarships for students, was released by Dr S A Khan, principal of Bearys institute of technology.
Addressing the gathering Dr Khan said: “We have enough talent and intelligent students in our community, but we have failed to identify them. Unless we exhibit our talent and intelligence, we can't achieve our goals and gain respect in the society.”
He said present technologies are innovative and one has to face and succeed in these innovative ideas and bring name and fame to the country.
Taranath, Civil Contractor, lauded the efforts of the TRF in identifying the talents and introducing them to the society.
Ameen-e-Mudassar, CEO and Career Counsellor, Cigma India, Bangalore, who was the resource person on the occasion, briefed the students about the career opportunities after SSLC and clarified their doubts.
After PUC, What Next presentation was done by Arham Faraaz, Career Consultant, Cigma India, Bangalore. PPT Presentation on government and private scholarships available to minority student was conducted by Riyaz Ahmed, President, TRF.
The question and answer session conducted by the resource persons clarified doubts of students on variety of issues including in careers and scholarships.
The programme was presided over by TRF chairman Abdul Rauf Puthige. Suleman Sheikh Beluvai and others were present on the occasion.
TRF advisor Rafeeq Master welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Qiraath was recited by Hasher Sheikh and Abdul Hameed proposed vote of thanks.
Felicitation
On the same occasion, Ayesha from Alvas' Kannada Medium High School, Moodabidre and Mohammed Noushad from Vivekananda College Puttur, the SSLC and PUC toppers respectively, were felicitated with cash prize and mementoes.
