
One of the accused has been identified as Naveen (19). He was arrested by police and remanded in judicial custody. The other accused, a 17-year-old boy, was sent to the remand home.
The incident came to light on Monday evening.
The girl, visiting a grocery shop, was lured by two teenagers who promised to give her money and took her to a cashew plantation where they sexually assaulted her.
The victim had gone to the shop around 6.30 p.m. when the suspects “promised” her money and took her to the farm where they allegedly sexually assaulted her, police said.
The girl narrated the incident to her parents after reaching home. Her parents called the police and lodged a complaint.
